城市体系是一定地域范围内不同等级、不同性质的城市所组成的相互联系、相互作用的系统。本文以东北地区城市体系研究为例,以统计数字为基础,探讨用综合定量方法研究城市体系途径,其中包括城市功能类型研究、城市等级规模研究和城市经济区地域系统研究等。东北地区是一个相对完整的地域单元,东北地区城市体系也比较健全,因而本文的研究方法和部分结论,对于城市地理学本身的发展也将有一定的意义。

The Urban system is a system that consists of some cities and these cities are different in scale and character and interact with each other. In the paper, the authors takes the study of the urban system in Northeast region for example and with the base of statistical figures, probes the ways to study the regional urban system quantitatively. The Northeast region is a relatively complete region, and the urban system in the region is relatively perfect, therefore the study method and results in the paper will be useful to the development of urban geography.
